Teaching at Trevecca since 1991, Tim Green serves as dean of the School of Religion and professor of Old Testament. Receiving his PhD with honors from Vanderbilt, his emphasis is in cultural-anthropological and literary analyses of Old Testament texts. He is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and serves on the Beacon Hill Book and Editorial Committees. At Trevecca he has received the Faculty Member of the Year, Teaching Excellence, and McClurkan Awards. He is the author of six books and is completing a commentary on the Minor Prophets. He has contributed to numerous other texts and periodicals. Tim is a frequent speaker in university lecture series and global, regional, and local church events. He has served as guest lecturer and adjunct professor at Nazarene Seminary and European Nazarene College, and he has taught classes in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Jordan, Bulgaria, Romania, and Albania.
