Biography

As the vocal coordinator of Trevecca Nazarene University, Professor Taylor McPherson is dedicated to offering Christ-centered vocal instruction that is informed by current vocal pedagogy. As a vocalist, McPherson enjoys performing opera, blues, rock, and just about every other style of music when given the chance. He has performed with the Nashville Opera Chorus, Kristin Chenoweth, studied and performed numerous operatic roles, and has participated in multiple ensembles around Nashville.

When teaching in his vocal studio, McPherson purposefully expounds upon the Christian life and how the science and art of singing reveal the glory of Jesus Christ. When he has finished teaching for the day, you will find him enjoying life with his wife, Denise.
