Biography
Dr. Matthew Murdock serves Trevecca’s School of Music and Worship Arts as the coordinator of instrumental studies. He has 11 years of experience teaching in higher education and 18 years of teaching experience in parochial and public schools in Indiana. Murdock is an active recitalist and freelance musician and has performed with Duffy Jackson, Martin Short, Michael Davis, Ernie Watts, Bob Mintzer, Diana Reeves, John Fedchock, Carl Saunders, Dick Oates, Bobby Shew, Dennis DeBlasio, Bill Watrous, Nancy Wilson, Rufus Reid, Jack Sheldon, and Rich Little. Originally, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, and a family of educators, Dr. Murdock is humbled to be obeying God’s call to perpetuate the study of music in such a Christian setting as Trevecca.
