Biography
Dr. Eric C. E. Wilson’s love of music began at an early age. He says that God perfectly orchestrated a career that Wilson loved while earning the degrees and gaining experience to teach at the university level. His work as a composer/arranger ranges from commercial applications and songwriting to chamber, symphonic works, and full-scale operas. A tenor, his performance experience includes music ministry, (much with his wife Melissa and daughter Kate), many musical theater and opera roles, (for example, Tony in West Side Story, Rodolfo in La Bohème), recording background vocals in the studio, and voice-over work for the title character in the internationally televised children’s program, Dr. Wonder’s Workshop. He taught theory and composition for six years as a graduate assistant at Ball State University, was an adjunct professor of voice at Indiana Wesleyan University for two years, and owned and operated a voice studio in his home for seven years prior to moving to Nashville. Wilson’s greatest joy in his work comes in glorifying Christ and creating unique opportunities for TNU students not found any other place.
