Biography


Dr. David Diehl was born in Kankakee where his father was attending TNU sister university, Olivet Nazarene. His family then relocated to Nashville where his father began working at Trevecca in university advancement. For the last, 45 years, Dr. Diehl has been connected to Trevecca in some way with a six-year break working as a public school band director in the Metro Nashville Public School system. In addition to serving as dean of the School of Music and Worship Arts, he teaches music history, music education, and oversees the wind ensemble and Trevecca Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Diehl and his wife, Tina, have two children, Joy and Gloria.
