Biography

Andrew Burnham grew up in the small town of Bath, Maine. He studied elementary education while at the University of Maine. While in college, he met his wife, Christy. They have three children, Ashley, Matthew, and Sarah. He began his teaching career at a residential facility in Central Massachusetts where he taught students with special needs for three years. He decided to pursue his master’s degree in special education. He then taught exceptional learners at the elementary (4 years), middle (7 years) and high school levels (2 years). He enjoys passing on his classroom knowledge and experience to undergraduates in Trevecca's School of Education. More importantly, it was while he was an undergraduate that he met Jesus Christ. He understands how important the college years are for growing in faith and building an eternity-long relationship with Him.
