J. Allen Jinnette, from Pleasant View, Tennessee, teaches accounting at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and he teaches in the Management and Human Relations Degree-completion Program. He has 17 years of experience in higher education. Twice he received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Division of Management and Adult Studies Graduate Program. Prior to his teaching career, he was an auditor with Ernst and Young, one of the big four accounting firms, and a fiscal analyst with Maximus, a management consulting company. He also has served on a budget and finance committee for a non-for-profit organization. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the business honorary society of Beta Gamma Sigma, the American Accounting Association, American Institute of CPAs, and the Tennessee Society of CPAs. His articles have appeared in the Journal of Biblical Integration in Business and the proceedings of the American Accounting Association. He lives in Nashville, TN.
